Visitor Information

The front office of the Archives and Records Center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and is closed holidays, Holy Days and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Anyone is welcome to visit and fill out appropriate request forms during regular business hours.

The Archives researcher room is open by appointment only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. No new records will be pulled after 4 p.m., and the office is closed from December 22 to January 20. Materials in the Archives and Records Center are housed in closed stacks—archivists will pull all records for researchers. Unprocessed collections and records less than 25-years-old are generally restricted, subject to waiver by the Chancellor.

Researchers using archival collections are asked to donate a copy of their resulting work to the Archives and Records Center. Please call the archivist to schedule a research visit.

Available Resources: The research room is located on the second floor of the building. Basic reference materials are kept in this room, along with finding aids for processed collections and a card catalog indexing the oldest documents. Readers are encouraged to ask for help and advice. Archivists are available to help in the reading room, although the archivist will not conduct the research.

Copy Fees: Duplication services are available for the fee of $.25 per copy. In-house scans of photographs or other materials are available for a fee of $10. United States copyright laws apply.
