The Archives & Records Center is located at 711 W. Monroe Street which is in between the Kennedy Expressway (90/94) and Des Plaines Street. There are public parking lots on Monroe Street north, east, and west of the building. The nearest "L" stop (Blue Line) is at Clinton Street and Congress Street.

Driving: From the North: Take the Kennedy Expressway south. Exit at Monroe Street. Turn left (east) on Monroe and the building will be on South side of the street.

From the South: Take the Dan Ryan Expressway north. Exit at Monroe Street. Turn right (east) on Monroe and the building will be immediately on the South side of the street.

Public Transportation: From Union Station: Exit Adams Street. Proceed west on Adams to Des Plaines. Turn right (north) on Des Plaines to Monroe Street and turn left (west). Building is on the South side of the street.
